Brief Description

From 1997 to 2000, the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), in collaboration with Indian researchers, conducted a research study on domestic violence against women in India. The study had a total sample of 9,938 households from three strata - rural, urban slum, and urban non-slum - to ensure that different socioeconomic classes were represented.
